Microsoft continues to incorporate artificial intelligence into its products, with the latest addition being AI-powered Bing Chat in its Launcher beta app for Android devices.
This new feature allows users to access Bing AI directly from the search bar in the applications user interface (UI). Microsoft Launcher, initially announced in 2017, aims to provide a seamless integration between Windows PCs and Android phones with its proprietary UI.
The beta version of Microsoft Launcher now includes support for Bing Chat, which can be accessed through a dedicated icon in the search bar. Tapping the icon presents users with the familiar Bing AI interface. This update allows users to take advantage of generative AI capabilities while using the Launcher app.
In addition to this development, Microsoft has announced that AI-powered Bing will soon be available in third-party browsers on web and mobile, aside from Microsoft Edge. Although users are encouraged to use Bing in its native Edge browser, they will have the option to utilize AI Bing in their preferred internet browser.
Since its launch in February 2023, Bing Chat has been widely adopted, resulting in over one billion chats and more than 750 million generated images. This popularity underlines the effectiveness and value of AI-powered chat features.
