Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Hussein Hazeb and Governor of Hajjah Hilal al-Sufi on Wednesday inspected the Medical City project at Hajjah University in Qudam area in Hajjah center.
Hazeb, and al-Sufi briefed on tissue laboratories, histopathology, anatomy, physiology, blood and his research, biology, biochemistry and biology.
They listened to an explanation about the medical city’s equipment, the rehabilitation of classrooms, and the allocation of 7 buildings for medical departments and 3 for the university hospital.
The Minister of Higher Education pointed out the willingness to establish the medical city, stressing the readiness to support the project and the idea of the medical city due to the presence of the infrastructure.
Hazeb referred to the role of the local authority, stressing the approval of opening the electronic portal of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, provided that work is carried out in accordance with international standards that are concerned with quality.
He appreciated the efforts of the governorate’s leadership in taking care of the university and providing 10 buildings for the medical city, stressing the ministry’s keenness to support the university wholeheartedly and not hesitate to take decisions that are in the interest of the governorate that needs support.
Al-Soufi confirmed his readiness to implement all the recommendations and observations of the Ministry of Higher Education, since the university and the medical city are among the priorities that receive attention because of their importance in serving more than 2.5 million people and their students.
