Dubai: The third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 has successfully concluded after welcoming over 15,000 content creators and influencers, alongside 420 speakers. This landmark event, the largest of its kind dedicated to shaping the content creation economy, was organized by the UAE Government Media Office under the theme 'Content For Good' and held across prominent locations including Dubai's Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the Museum of the Future.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Summit will return for its fourth edition from January 9th to 11th, 2026, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The third edition expanded upon previous successes with a robust agenda developed alongside local and global partners, attracting more than 125 CEOs and leading experts. Ten investment funds, with a total of AED 50 million, participated to support content creators across various fields.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, emphasized the remarkable success of the Summit as a strong impetus for future growth, underscoring the UAE's vision of fostering a sustainable economic sector rich with opportunities. He noted the shared success among all contributors, including content creators, influencers, investment firms, startups, experts, and major social media platforms, showcasing the UAE's leadership in advancing this promising sector.
Saeed Al Eter, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Projects and Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, highlighted the Summit's success in strengthening the UAE's position as a global hub for innovation and progress in content creation. He stressed the importance of youth as primary drivers of the future of content creation and the UAE's commitment to providing dynamic opportunities for them.
Alia AlHammadi, Vice Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office and CEO of the Summit, described the third edition as a pivotal milestone. It successfully brought together influencers, content creators, and stakeholders to address pressing issues in content creation, inspired innovative discussions, and championed high-value content production. This edition introduced groundbreaking initiatives, including the One Billion Award valued at US$1 million for creators of purposeful content.
The Summit facilitated connections among influencers, content creators, investors, entrepreneurs, and other key stakeholders in the digital media sector. It featured over 340 sessions, including keynote addresses, roundtables, interactive discussions, and workshops across three main tracks: economy, content, and technology.
The winners of the 1 Billion Pitches competition were announced at the Summit's conclusion, receiving US$1 million in support for pioneering content creation ideas. The competition received 500 applications from 40 countries, with projects spanning various fields. The One Billion Award, the world's largest prize for content creators, was awarded to creators with inspiring, positive content, attracting over 16,000 entries from nearly 190 countries.
This year's Summit also brought together leading social media platforms, including Snapchat, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta, with representatives exchanging ideas on the future of content creation and leveraging tools like AI and analytics to advance humanity.
