Dubai: The 1 Billion Followers Summit, a significant event organized by the UAE Government Media Office to drive the content creator economy, has announced the judging panel for the Creators Ventures Accelerator. This program aims to support promising creator-led startups and is part of the second edition of Creators Ventures, organized by Creators HQ in collaboration with 500 Global.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Summit also revealed the team of mentors who will guide participants in acquiring essential skills and resources to expand their ventures sustainably. The program is set to empower participants to develop industry-leading companies.
The Summit has shortlisted 21 content creators and startup founders, collectively amassing over 20 million followers and users. The Creators Ventures Accelerator intends to identify and nurture promising startups, with ventures to be showcased at the fourth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit from January 9-11, 2026, at key locations across Dubai.
Selected content creators and startups will have the opportunity to receive funding of up to AED 50 million, with the judging panel comprising distinguished experts like Jonathan Labin, Megan Lightcap, and Scott Van Den Berg. The mentors include Sora Lee, Giacomo Poggiali, Jonathan Tanemori, and Brian Lee, who bring extensive experience in various fields.
Alia AlHammadi, Vice Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office, highlighted the program's role in solidifying the UAE's position as a global hub for creativity and entrepreneurship. She emphasized the strategic partnership with 500 Global to empower the next generation of content creators and start-ups, providing them with essential tools and funding.
Among the shortlisted participants are Angel Santana, Esraa Saleh, Omar Farooq, Jeremy Angelier, and Abdullah Alowais, who are developing innovative platforms in the content creation field. The program received 1,131 applications, with 609 meeting the criteria, showcasing a wide range of creativity and innovation from over 70 countries.
The Creators Ventures Accelerator is designed to equip participants with skills and networking opportunities, facilitating the transformation of creative ideas into sustainable business models. The 10-week intensive training program aims to support the next generation of industry-leading businesses through 500 Global's expertise.
The initiative underscores 500 Global's commitment to fostering creativity and innovation, enabling talented creators and entrepreneurs to develop high-impact businesses globally.
