An earthquake measuring 4.9 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the state of Oaxaca, southwestern Mexico. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the tremor occurred 34 km from the city of Santa Gertrudis Miramar, Oaxaca, at a depth of 35 km. So far, there have been no reports of material damage or human loss as a result of the tremor.
