Tonga: A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck the Tonga islands in the South Pacific, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
According to Emirates News Agency, the quake occurred 643 kilometers from Houma at a depth of 552 kilometers. There have been no reports of casualties or damage so far.
Tonga is an archipelago consisting of 176 islands located in the South Pacific Ocean. It is situated on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region known for frequent seismic activity.
