Abu dhabi: An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale struck an area about 32 kilometers southwest of Sarangani in the Philippines.
According to Emirates News Agency, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the seismic event.
