London: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, recently met with Tom Hudson, a specialist in tech investment and legal and government affairs, in London. The meeting focused on exploring avenues for high-impact partnerships and leveraging global best practices to develop and future-proof the UAE's media infrastructure.
According to Emirates News Agency, both parties discussed the significance of integrating legal and regulatory frameworks with technological innovation to establish an advanced and sustainable media ecosystem. Al Hamed listened to Hudson's insights on employing modern technologies to support the media sector, drawing from Hudson's extensive experience advising major companies on digital transformation, government regulatory frameworks, and international expansion.
Al Hamed emphasized the importance of media institutions leading in the adoption of artificial intelligence and data analytics due to the sweeping technological shifts occurring today. He expressed that the UAE's vision is to create a media ecosystem that is agile, innovative, and capable of anticipating audience needs while producing content that reflects national aspirations and identity.
During the meeting, Hudson presented his book, "Exponential Emirates: the Exponential Country for the Exponential Age," which details the UAE's growth story and its unique harnessing of exponential organizational features. The book showcases the UAE's achievements over the past 50 years and looks ahead to future milestones, highlighting how companies can seize emerging opportunities in the UAE and how other nations can learn from its model.
