Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a phone conversation with Margus Tsahkna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, to discuss regional developments and bilateral relations. The discussion particularly focused on the recent unprovoked Iranian attacks on the UAE, which involved missiles and drones targeting civilian sites and facilities.
According to Emirates News Agency, both H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Minister Margus Tsahkna strongly condemned these attacks, labeling them a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. They emphasized that the attacks pose a direct threat to the UAE's security, stability, and territorial integrity. The ministers affirmed the UAE's legitimate right to respond in a manner that ensures the nation's sovereignty and the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors, in line with international law.
The conversation also highlighted the necessity of enhancing international efforts to achieve sustained peace in the region, contributing to both regional and international peace and security. Additionally, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed took the opportunity to congratulate Minister Tsahkna on Europe Day.
Further discussions included reviewing bilateral relations and exploring avenues to enhance cooperation, aiming to support the developmental priorities of both the UAE and Estonia.
