Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has strongly condemned the targeting of civilian infrastructure and facilities in the region. These include schools, universities, hospitals, desalination plants, energy facilities, transportation hubs, and residential areas. He emphasized that such actions represent a clear violation of international law and cannot be justified under any circumstances. The attacks have led to civilian casualties and injuries, creating widespread fear among millions in the region. According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the dangers of turning energy installations, ports, airports, and international maritime passages into military targets. He warned that these actions not only threaten individual states but also pose significant risks to the stability of the global economy and critical supply chains, while undermining both regional and international security. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated that civilian infrastructure should not become battlefields, stressing that their targeting is a serious escalation and a red line that must not be crossed. He called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and emphasized the need for the protection of civilian lives and infrastructure. He warned of the severe consequences that may result from these violations.
