Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Johann Wadephul, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, to discuss the strategic cooperation between the UAE and Germany.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing relations in several sectors, including economic, trade, industrial, and investment, aiming for comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity. The two sides also assessed the outcomes of the official visit by Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of Germany, to the UAE in February, which played a significant role in strengthening bilateral relations.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the robust growth in relations between the UAE and Germany, emphasizing both countries' commitment to achieving prosperity and well-being for their citizens. The discussions also covered the aftermath of the Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and other nations, with the German Foreign Minister expressing full solidarity with the UAE.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah appreciated Johann Wadephul's visit, noting it as a reflection of the strong friendship between the countries and Germany's unwavering support for the UAE. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of intensifying international efforts to bolster regional security, stability, and diplomatic solutions.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State.
