Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre Participates in London Book Fair 2026

Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), a part of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), is set to participate in the 55th edition of the London Book Fair. This notable event will be held from 10th to 12th March 2026 at Olympia London.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ALC's pavilion will showcase a selection of prominent titles from its Kalima Project for Translation and Esdarat for Arabic publishing. In alignment with the Centre's digital transformation efforts, the pavilion will also feature e-books and audiobooks. Visitors can download these through QR codes, which link to the Digital Arabic Library page that the ALC recently launched in collaboration with Amazon. This initiative aims to provide access to thousands of e-books and audiobooks, broadening the reach of Arabic written works and enhancing the global presence of Arab culture.

The Centre's program at the fair will include meetings and discussions with leaders in the global creative industries and publishing sectors. These engagements are designed to enhance cooperation with international publishers, strengthen existing relationships with British and international publishing houses, and forge new partnerships. The agenda also includes the signing of several copyright agreements between the Kalima Project for Translation and global publishing houses.

Furthermore, the ALC's pavilion will host a cultural program featuring sessions organized in collaboration with strategic partners. These sessions will bring together prominent intellectuals, translators, and authors, highlighting the Sheikh Zayed Book Award (SZBA), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The sessions will also feature 'From Kalima to the World'-a project launched by the Centre in 2025 to translate Arabic foundational works and literature into other languages, thereby fostering cultural dialogue and showcasing Arab human heritage.

Additionally, the pavilion will host sessions organized by the Zayed National Museum and the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, further enriching the cultural offerings at the event.
