Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches Officially Opened by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed.

Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, has officially inaugurated the Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy - Les Roches. During the event, he was welcomed by Mohamed Abdullah Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Georgette Davey, Managing Director, and Prof Scott Richardson, Dean of the academy. According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Theyab was guided on a tour of the academy's state-of-the-art facilities by Georgette Davey and Prof Scott Richardson. A student named Tahnoon Al Qubaisi presented an overview of the academy's curriculum, which integrates global hospitality education standards with the UAE's cultural heritage. The tour included a visit to the academy's experimental labs and a simulated hotel environment that features a real reception area, allowing students to gain practical experience aligned with international hospitality standards. Mohamed Al Junaibi expressed pride in inaugurating this u nique academic institution, the first of its kind in the UAE. He emphasized the academy's role in nurturing Emirati and international talents to enhance sustainable hospitality services in the country and reflect UAE hospitality values. Carlos Diez de la Lastra, CEO of Les Roches, highlighted the institution's commitment to preparing students as future leaders in the hospitality sector, balancing modern trends with traditional UAE values. Georgette Davey described the academy as a foundational component of the UAE's hospitality ecosystem, equipping students with vital skills and fostering leadership. The academy anticipates welcoming students who will contribute to the enhancement of UAE's hospitality reputation and its stature as a hub of excellence in hospitality services. The inauguration event was attended by significant figures, including Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside members of the board of trustees.
