Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Partners with University for World Investor Week

Abu Dhabi:The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) celebrated World Investor Week with a bell-ringing ceremony and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Europe (UE) for Applied Sciences' Dubai campus.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ADX, a multi-asset exchange, supported the 10th annual World Investor Week, a global initiative organized by the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and supported by the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE). The event, held from October 5th to 11th, aims to enhance financial awareness and investor protection in over 100 jurisdictions.

The MoU with the University of Europe for Applied Sciences underscores ADX's dedication to advancing financial inclusion and making wealth generation more accessible. It was signed by Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of ADX Group, and Prof. Dr. Maurits Van Rooijen, President of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences.

Alnuaimi emphasized the importance of equipping next-generation investors with financial and digital literacy in the face of digital transformation in global markets. He noted that through the partnership with the University of Europe and participation in World Investor Week, ADX aims to provide practical market knowledge and analytical tools to students, aiding them in evaluating risks and identifying growth opportunities. This initiative supports Abu Dhabi's Economic Vision 2030 and strengthens its status as a global financial hub.

Professor van Rooijen highlighted the responsibility of universities to connect knowledge with the economic and societal challenges driven by AI and global complexity that are reshaping financial markets. The partnership with ADX facilitates a dialogue between academic expertise and market practice, fostering opportunities for applied research, innovation, and preparing students for future roles in the financial sector.
