Abu dhabi: Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the 2026 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is set to commence from January 11th to 15th. Hosted by Masdar, the event aims to unite world leaders, investors, and innovators to accelerate solutions across interconnected global systems.
According to Emirates News Agency, ADSW 2026 arrives at a time when the world is navigating between existing systems and the necessary future infrastructures. Under the theme 'The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,' the event will challenge leaders in energy, finance, food, water, and nature to rethink how these systems interconnect and support each other.
The week will focus on technologies that are reshaping global resilience, including AI-driven energy networks and climate-finance innovations. By gathering leaders from these intertwined domains, ADSW 2026 aims to set a new global benchmark for collaboration and measurable impact.
For over 18 years, ADSW has been a catalyst for international cooperation, enabling significant partnerships to advance global sustainability. The 2025 edition attracted over 50,000 participants from more than 170 countries, including 13 Heads of State and senior government leaders.
The 2026 edition will introduce new features to deepen engagement and accelerate outcomes, such as the ADSW Dialogues, The Blue Forum, and innovative technologies. The event will showcase breakthrough clean technologies and AI-enabled tools to enhance engagement and track commitments.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, emphasized that ADSW 2026 builds on the legacy of Masdar by bringing together leaders at the forefront of sustainable advancements. The event aims to align systems to drive impact and progress for all, marking a milestone year for the platform.
Key partners for ADSW 2026 include the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, Global South Utilities, ADNOC, and other prominent organizations. The week will feature the ADSW Opening Ceremony, Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards, ADSW Summit, and World Future Energy Summit, among other significant events.
The week will also host forums and gatherings like the WiSER Forum, Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Forum, Zayed Sustainability Prize Investor Connect, Green Hydrogen Summit, and Global South Utilities Forum. Partner events include the IRENA Assembly and the Global Climate Finance Centre Annual Meeting.
