Abu dhabi: A delegation from the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX) paid a visit to EDGE Group to explore strategies for enhancing their strategic partnership as part of a broader initiative to foster cooperation with prominent national companies. The collaboration is directed at advancing national priorities that bolster economic development and solidify the UAE's status as a global center for advanced industries and technological innovation.
According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation was led by Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) and Chairman of the Executive Committee of ADEX, alongside Khalil Al Mansouri, Executive Director of ADEX. They were welcomed by Faisal Al Bannai, Advisor to the UAE President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs and Chairman of EDGE Group.
During their visit, the ADEX delegation showcased its primary financing solutions to aid national exports and delved into potential cooperation areas with EDGE Group to facilitate global expansion and entry into new markets. Al Suwaidi highlighted the significant progress made by Emirati companies in various critical sectors, acknowledging EDGE Group as a leading example in the military and advanced technology industries.
He expressed appreciation for EDGE's achievements in developing innovative solutions that elevate the UAE's position as a global industrial hub. Al Suwaidi emphasized ADEX's role in maximizing competitive advantages to support business growth across sectors, enabling companies to expand internationally and boost national exports. He also reiterated support for EDGE's aspirations to lead in the defense and security sectors, aligning with the UAE's strategic economic diversification goals.
The visit included a tour of EDGE Group facilities to evaluate their manufacturing and technical prowess. At NIMR, the delegation observed the production of light and medium armored vehicles. At ADASI, they gained insights into unmanned systems expertise across air, land, and sea, including AI-powered drones and integrated support services.
The delegation concluded their tour at HALCON, where they examined the development and production of precision-guided munitions and the innovative technologies employed on production lines. This visit supports ADEX's strategic objectives to empower national industries, enhance their global competitiveness, and expand their growth potential.
Both parties underscored the significance of strengthening knowledge and expertise exchange with leading Emirati institutions, highlighting their contribution to economic growth and diversification, supporting national exports, and reinforcing the industrial sector's role in comprehensive and sustainable development.
