Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Astana International Exchange (AIX) have announced the implementation of a direct link between their respective Central Securities Depositories (CSDs). According to Emirates News Agency, this development follows the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two exchanges in October 2021, which led to AIX joining the Tabadul platform. This initiative enhances the existing Tabadul link and signifies the growing partnership between AIX and ADX. It aims to facilitate cross-border trading, improve market infrastructure, and broaden investment opportunities for both investors and issuers. By allowing seamless access between the two markets, AIX and ADX are promoting greater liquidity and advancing the integration of regional capital markets. Assel Mukazhanova, CEO of AIX, expressed enthusiasm about the formalized cooperation, emphasizing the tangible benefits for market participants on both sides through strengthened connectivity and efficient tradin g channels. Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of ADX, highlighted the significance of establishing a direct link with AIX as a step toward more accessible and interconnected capital markets. He noted that the initiative builds on the success of the Tabadul platform and broader international partnerships, enhancing cross-border integration and opening new investment opportunities for global and regional participants. This collaboration reaffirms ADX's role as a dynamic and transparent marketplace, solidifying Abu Dhabi's position as a leading financial hub. This collaboration underscores the shared commitment of AIX and ADX to fostering innovation, strengthening market infrastructure, and supporting the long-term development of capital markets across the region.
