Sharjah: Air Arabia has officially launched its daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Munich, marking the airline's first German destination served directly from Sharjah. The service is operated by the airline's new Airbus A320neo, offering its customers enhanced comfort and convenience.
According to Emirates News Agency, the inaugural flight was welcomed upon arrival with a special ceremony at Munich Airport attended by senior representatives from Air Arabia and the airport. Commenting on the launch, Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed satisfaction with the new route, highlighting its significance in strengthening the airline's presence across Europe. He emphasized the company's commitment to providing customers with more travel options.
Oliver Dersch, Senior Vice President Aviation at Munich Airport, expressed delight over the new route, noting that it expands travel options for passengers and reinforces Munich's role in the market connecting the GCC countries.
This new route to Munich is part of Air Arabia's strategic expansion into Europe from the UAE, joining other destinations such as Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, with plans for Warsaw Modlin and Prague in the future.
