Air Arabia Expands Polish Network with New Katowice Route

Sharjah: Air Arabia today announced the launch of four weekly non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) and Katowice International Airport (KTW), starting 17th December 2026. The new service will be operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft, marking Katowice as Air Arabia's third destination in Poland from Sharjah, following Krak³w and Warsaw Chopin. This addition will offer a convenient and affordable travel option between the UAE and southern Poland, further expanding the airline's European network.

According to Emirates News Agency, Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed satisfaction with the introduction of Katowice to their network. The new four-weekly service will provide customers with more choices, supporting tourism, business, and economic ties between the UAE and Poland. Al Ali emphasized the airline's focus on responding to the evolving travel needs of customers and providing reliable, value-driven air travel across their expanding network.

Artur Tomasik, CEO of Katowice Airport, welcomed Air Arabia's decision to launch the Sharjah-Katowice route, noting that it significantly strengthens Katowice Airport's connectivity as a network carrier. Tomasik anticipates robust two-way traffic, with southern Poland residents gaining better access to Air Arabia's extensive range of destinations. He also highlighted the fast and convenient transfers at Sharjah Airport to numerous Asian markets, facilitating travel to Poland for UAE residents for both business and tourism purposes.
