Air Arabia Increases Flight Frequency to Maldives


Sharjah: Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator, has announced an expansion of its existing service between Sharjah and the Maldives, with the introduction of twice-daily non-stop flights starting 27th October 2025. The increased frequency aims to provide customers with enhanced convenience and flexibility when traveling to the tropical destination.



According to Emirates News Agency, the decision to double the flights comes after a year of operating the service between Sharjah International Airport and Velana International Airport in Mal©. Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, emphasized the significance of this expansion, noting that it reflects the growing demand for air travel to the Maldives. He highlighted the company’s commitment to offering reliable and affordable air travel while expanding its network to meet the needs of passengers.



The move aims to strengthen Air Arabia’s presence in the Maldives, providing travelers with greater connectivity and flexibility. The additional flights are expected to facilitate easier travel for tourists eager to explore the island nation.
