Al-Dbaiba meets with the European Union Ambassador to Libya.

The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Dbaiba, received on Tuesday the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando.

According to the ‘Hakomitna’ platform, the meeting touched on enhancing cooperation between Libya and the European Union in various fields, in addition to moving forward with steps to lift the flight ban imposed on Libya.

The two sides also discussed the ongoing preparations to hold the Trans-Mediterranean Migration Forum, which will be hosted by the capital, Tripoli, on July 17, in the presence of relevant African and European countries.

The platform said that, the European Union Ambassador to Libya, ‘Nicola Orlando,’ affirmed the European Union’s keenness on the success of the forum, praising the positive steps taken by the National Unity Government to deal with the migration file, especially facilitating the return of migrants to the source countries.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Trans-Mediterranean Migration Forum, the Minister of State
for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, and Al-Taher Al-Baour, who is in charge of managing the duties of the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
