Al Fanar Gas Group and Siemens Energy Partner to Advance Clean Energy and Decarbonisation in UAE

Abu Dhabi: Al Fanar Gas Group, the energy arm of EHC Investment, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Siemens Energy to advance decarbonisation and clean energy innovation across the UAE. The partnership was formalized during the World Utilities Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi, aligning with the UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy.

According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration between the two companies aims to develop clean energy solutions that incorporate advanced digital technologies into energy and industrial infrastructure. This initiative focuses on hydrogen and Power-to-X, flare gas management, and electrification of ports and vessels. The efforts will be supported by thorough feasibility studies to identify scalable solutions that can be integrated into current energy networks.

The partnership will leverage Siemens Energy's global expertise in digitalization to introduce systems that optimize energy consumption, monitor emissions, and streamline operations. This approach is intended to accelerate the energy transition in a practical and measurable manner.

Khaled Ben Said, CEO of Al Fanar Gas Group, emphasized the responsibility of shaping a future energy landscape that aligns with the values and ambitions of UAE leadership. He highlighted that the collaboration with Siemens Energy combines local insights with global innovation to address regional energy challenges, marking the MoU as a commitment to immediate and actionable progress.

Khalid Bin Hadi, Siemens Energy's Managing Director for the UAE, expressed the company's commitment to exploring practical decarbonization pathways with regional partners. He anticipates working with Al Fanar Gas Group to identify scalable solutions that support the UAE's long-term sustainability goals.
