Tripoli: The Deputy of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met this morning, Tuesday, with the French Ambassador to Libya, "Mustafa Mahraj". The media office of the Council reported that the meeting focused on the latest developments in the political process in Libya and discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, to advance the wheel of peace and stability. The meeting also discussed ways to enhance the political process, through consensus on the points of contention, between all Libyan parties, and the importance of formulating an integrated political project was also addressed as a basic step towards holding elections and ensuring their success. "Al-Lafi" stressed the need to reach consensual solutions that ensure the achievement of lasting peace in the country. This meeting comes in the context of the diplomatic moves undertaken by the Presidential Council, to support the comprehensive national dialogue, under the auspices of the United Nations, in a way that ensures reac hing an agreement that achieves the aspirations of the Libyan people for stability and development.
