Representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed today, Tuesday, with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, developments in the political scene in Libya and the file of national reconciliation. The Council's media office stated that Al-Lafi expressed the depth of bilateral relations between Libya and the United Kingdom and the level of close cooperation between them, stressing the importance of making a political progress and reaching elections as soon as possible to end the transitional stages. For his part, the British Ambassador to Libya stressed support for everything that achieves stability in Libya, and the importance of supporting national reconciliation and moving forward with its success, as one of the guarantees of achieving stability and lasting peace in Libya.
