Al Qassimi Hospital saves patient with early heart attack using Japanese Makoto device

SHARJAH: A groundbreaking surgery was successfully performed on a 66-year-old patient at Al Qassimi Hospital's Cardiology Centre. The patient, who presented with critical narrowing and imminent myocardial infarction (heart attack), underwent a novel procedure utilising the latest Japanese coronary stents, "Nagomi." This marks the first utilisation of these stents in the Middle East, facilitated by the innovative Makoto Intravascular Imaging System Dr. Essam Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at the Emirates National Health Services, commended Al Qassimi Hospital's remarkable transformation into a leading medical institution on both the local and international stage.
