Abu dhabi: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the third edition of the Al Wathba Date Festival is set to take place from 9th to 18th January. This event is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and forms part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival activities in the Al Wathba area of Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the festival is designed to support palm farmers, boost local date production, and foster innovation in palm cultivation and related industries. It also aims to preserve the UAE's agricultural heritage and ensure its continuation for future generations.
The Al Wathba Dates Festival will feature 14 competitions, offering 116 prizes with a total value exceeding AED2 million.
