Algeria launched an initiative to find a political solution to the crisis in Niger, which would spare this country and the West African region repercussions of the crisis.
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement today, that Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf will embark from today on working visits to Nigeria, Benin and Ghana, which belong to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), to conduct consultations to formulate a political solution that spares Niger and the region the repercussions of possible escalation.
