Algerian authorities confirmed that they have arrested six militants affiliated to the armed groups during two separate operations in Tlemcen city northwest of the country.
Joint detachments of the People's National Army and security forces succeeded in destroying five homemade bombs following search and inspection operations in Tlemcen, according to a statement of the Algerian Ministry of National Defense on Wednesday.
Coast guards foiled attempts of illegal immigration from the Algerian coast, noting that they had rescued 88 people aboard traditional-made boats, and arrested 84 illegal immigrants of different nationalities, the statement reads. (QNA)
