Dubai: The Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Embraer Defence and Security during the Dubai Airshow 2025. This MoU aims to explore a partnership to enhance capabilities in aircraft support and MRO solutions, particularly for the C-390 Millennium, a multi-mission military transport aircraft.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU outlines a framework for future collaboration between AMMROC and Embraer. The agreement covers a range of technical and support activities, including the development and application of Supplemental Type Certificates (STC), airworthiness and engineering services, aircraft completion and conversion services, as well as in-service support like heavy maintenance, component support, and logistical services.
The collaboration aims to merge Embraer's expertise in aircraft manufacturing and defense aviation with AMMROC's regional capabilities in advanced MRO and integrated support solutions. The goal is to enhance readiness and operational support for C-390 Millennium aircraft operators worldwide.
Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, emphasized that the MoU represents a significant step in expanding AMMROC's capabilities through cooperation with Embraer. He stated that it reinforces a shared vision of delivering comprehensive maintenance and in-service support solutions to ensure mission readiness and operational excellence.
Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defence and Security, highlighted the agreements as a reflection of Embraer's long-term commitment to the UAE and the Middle East region. By partnering with AMMROC, Embraer aims to strengthen local capabilities and deliver world-class support for the C-390 Millennium.
The signing of this MoU underscores both companies' commitment to strengthening industrial cooperation and developing advanced support capabilities, aligning with the UAE's defense and aviation objectives while elevating AMMROC's expertise to new products and services.
