An Algerian-American agreement on peaceful solutions to the crises in Libya, Niger and Mali.

The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Ataf, discussed yesterday, Wednesday in Washington, with his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken, developments in the situation in Libya, Niger, and Mali.

According to a publication of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Ataf and Blinken" affirmed the compatibility of their countries' positions and their endeavors to favor peaceful solutions to these crises in a way that spares the region the dangers of the military option.

They also reviewed the reality and prospects of Algerian-American relations, as well as a number of regional and international issues of common interest, according to the same source.
