Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy Opens Admissions for 2025-2026 Post-Graduate Diploma

Abu Dhabi: The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA), a leading institution for developing future diplomats and leaders, has announced the commencement of admissions for its 2025-2026 academic year for the Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in UAE Diplomacy and International Relations.

According to Emirates News Agency, the admissions campaign, under the theme 'We Invest in Tomorrow', underscores AGDA's dedication to cultivating the next generation of Emirati diplomats and professionals in international affairs. As part of this initiative, AGDA is organizing an Open Day on 27th February, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, providing prospective students with the chance to learn about the academy's programmes and interact with its distinguished faculty.

The one-year PGD programme, which is fully accredited, is designed to address the needs of the dynamic field of international affairs. Students will receive specialized training that prepares them with essential skills required in modern diplomacy, including research skills, negotiation, fluent communication in English and Arabic, learning a third language, protocol and etiquette, consular diplomacy, and crisis management. Nickolay Mladenov, Director-General of AGDA, highlighted the Academy's pivotal role in shaping the future of UAE diplomacy, stating that AGDA is focused on empowering a new generation of Emirati leaders with the necessary skills and strategic vision to manage modern diplomatic challenges. The rigorous programme is designed to enable students to influence global discussions, further UAE's foreign policy goals, and effect significant changes on the international stage.

Dr. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director-General of AGDA, remarked that the PGD programme offers more than just academic learning; it provides a transformational experience that equips students to lead in diplomatic environments. The curriculum includes practical simulations, policy discussions, and immersive training to ensure graduates become confident diplomats capable of representing UAE's interests effectively.

Applicants for the PGD programme must be UAE nationals or children of Emirati women under 35, possess a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate English proficiency with specified minimum scores in IELTS or TOEFL exams. Male applicants are required to have completed national service, and all candidates should be prepared to travel and serve internationally.
