Apolitical Launches AI Tools for Public Servants at World Governments Summit 2026

Dubai: Apolitical, the world's largest online network of public servants, is set to unveil a range of new tools, insights, and publications at the World Governments Summit 2026 in Dubai. These resources are designed to assist public servants in leading and delivering effectively in the era of artificial intelligence. The summit, under the theme 'Shaping Future Governments,' will take place from February 3 to 5.

According to Emirates News Agency, Apolitical will formally introduce the AI Readiness Check in Arabic, hosted on the World Governments Summit Organization website. This move will broaden access to what is considered one of the most widely-used tools for building AI capabilities in the public sector. The AI Readiness Check, a six-minute self-assessment tool, provides personalized feedback to help public servants assess their AI readiness. Since its inception in January 2025, over 8,000 public servants globally have completed the AI Readiness Check, establishing it as the largest global dataset on government sector AI capability. The tool is also accessible in multiple languages, including English, French, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish.

Building on this extensive dataset, Apolitical has released the AI Readiness Check Insights Briefing. This briefing offers government leaders insights into global government AI capabilities and identifies a growing gap between individual adoption and institutional readiness. It provides recommendations for governments and leaders to enhance AI capabilities in 2026.

These new resources are part of the Government AI Campus, a hub for AI excellence in government, which supports 1 million public servants through training, tools, expert-led events, and a global peer community. Supported by Google.org, the campus aims to foster leadership in the age of AI.

During the summit, Apolitical will also introduce two new AI tools aimed at supporting practical, safe, and effective AI use in government. Additionally, the summit will mark the release of Edge 50, a showcase of 50 innovative initiatives that challenge conventional government logic and demonstrate potential to transform public impact. This initiative is released in collaboration with the UAE's Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI).

The World Governments Summit 2026 will host over 60 heads of state and government, more than 500 ministers, and representatives from over 150 governments. It will also feature prominent global thought leaders and experts, with more than 6,250 participants in attendance. The summit's agenda includes over 445 sessions and 450 global speakers, including heads of state, ministers, and CEOs of major corporations, alongside international and regional organizations and academic institutions.
