The Arab League on Saturday hailed Armenia's official recognition of the State of Palestine describing the decision as a brave step. Secretary-General Ahmad Abulgheit said in a statement the increasing number of states recognizing the State of Palestine reflects a conviction on the part of the international community that the occupation cannot continue. It is a significant step toward establishing the State of Palestine with the June 4, 1967 borders, he added, appealing to other nations to follow suit.
