Dubai: Dubai International Chamber, a key entity under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, has announced that 58 percent of the multinational companies (MNCs) it attracted to the city in the first half of 2025 originated from Asia. This highlights Dubai's expanding role as a prominent investment hub for global corporations.
According to Emirates News Agency, Europe followed Asia, contributing 16.1 percent of the MNCs drawn to Dubai by the chamber during this period. The Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) together made up 12.9 percent of the total, while Africa and the Americas each accounted for 6.5 percent.
In terms of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Asia again led the way, representing 49.1 percent of the total attracted by the chamber in the first half of 2025. The Middle East and CIS regions saw significant growth, accounting for 22.3 percent of the attracted SMEs, followed by Africa at 11.6 percent, Europe at 9.8 percent, and the Americas at 7.1 percent.
These statistics emphasize Dubai International Chamber's dedication to enhancing the city's standing as a premier global business destination. The chamber reported a year-on-year increase of 138 percent in the number of companies it attracted to Dubai during the first half of the year, encompassing both MNCs and SMEs.
