Abu Dhabi:Avantguard Holding, part of the EDGE Group, and the Integrated Transport Centre, affiliated with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on data and smart mapping initiatives.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed by Dr. Abdulla Hamad AlGhfeli, Director-General of the Integrated Transport Centre, and Hanadi bin Darwish, CEO of Avantguard, during the Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX 2026) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The agreement focuses on utilizing high-precision positioning services and advanced navigation technologies to develop high-definition digital maps. This collaboration aims to support the deployment of autonomous vehicles, enhance fleet management, and strengthen the smart mobility infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.
