The Bahamas government has issued a hurricane warning for the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeastern Bahamas. Meanwhile, Cuba's government has issued a hurricane watch for the provinces of Guantanamo, Holguin, and Las Tunas. Oscar is located about 165 miles (265 km) east-southeast of the Bahamas and about 470 miles east of Camaguey city in Cuba, packing maximum sustained winds of 80 miles per hour, according to the NHC.
