Dhaka: A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a school campus in the capital, Dhaka, shortly after takeoff on Monday, resulting in the deaths of at least 19 people, including the pilot, and injuring more than 100, officials reported.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Chinese-made F-7 BGI aircraft crashed into the campus of Milestone School and College, located in the Uttara neighborhood, during the afternoon while students were attending classes.
The Fire Service and Civil Defense confirmed that at least 19 people, mostly students, lost their lives, and another 116 individuals were rescued with injuries. A considerable number of those injured sustained burn injuries.
