House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday hosted Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, at the second presidential residence in Ain al-Tineh. During the meeting, Minister Hamieh briefed Speaker Berri on the measures and steps taken by the Ministry to ensure the continued operation of public facilities, particularly Rafic Hariri International Airport and various sea and land ports. Following the meeting, Minister Hamieh stated, "Today, I met with Speaker Berri to update him on the various on-the-ground actions being taken by the Ministry of Public Works to maintain the uninterrupted operation of Rafic Hariri International Airport and all maritime ports. We also discussed the readiness of roads and infrastructure, as ensuring the continuous operation of these facilities is crucial for facilitating the movement of goods from ports and managing departures and arrivals at the airport." In a separate meeting, Speaker Berri received Democratic Gathering MP Wael Abou Faour. The pair discussed recen t political and field developments, as well as legislative matters.
