Sharjah: Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi has appointed Ahmed Al Ali as the new General Manager of Kalimat Group, the Arabic language publishing house she founded and leads as CEO. According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikha Bodour announced the appointment of Ahmed Al Ali, a respected editor, poet, and translator, to the role of General Manager. Al Ali previously served as Managing Editor of Kalimat's fiction imprint and was instrumental in bringing some of the world's leading authors to a wider Arab audience. His leadership facilitated the introduction of contemporary works by James Baldwin, Raymond Carver, and Margaret Atwood to new readers, enriching the region's literary landscape.
