Cairo: As part of the global preparatory roadshow for the BRIDGE Summit 2025, the world's largest event for media, content, and entertainment scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi from December 8-10, a delegation from BRIDGE led by Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi made a significant visit to Cairo. The visit aimed at establishing connections and cooperation with leading Egyptian media institutions.
According to Emirates News Agency, during the Cairo visit, the BRIDGE delegation conducted extensive meetings with the National Media Authority (NMA) and United Media Services (UMS). These meetings were centered around presenting BRIDGE's vision of creating a global platform to enhance cooperation in media, content, and entertainment, thereby fostering communication that shapes public awareness and cultural identity.
Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi emphasized the strategic importance of the BRIDGE Summit to harmonize technology, creativity, culture, and innovation. He noted Egypt's critical role as a founding partner in this vision, given its rich heritage and creativity that have significantly influenced Arab media, arts, and literature over the decades.
The delegation met with Ahmed Al Moslemany, Chairman of the National Media Authority, which manages Egypt's national television and radio networks. Established in 2016, the NMA plays a crucial role in producing culturally authentic content and enhancing Egypt's image globally. Al Moslemany highlighted the importance of BRIDGE's vision in reinforcing Egyptian media's role in supporting Arab culture and engaging globally.
The BRIDGE delegation also engaged with Tarek Nour, Chairman of United Media Services, a leading media group in the Arab region. Nour expressed support for BRIDGE's initiative, recognizing the need for a unified system to support communication in an era of rapid technological advancement. He commended the UAE's leadership for its pioneering initiatives and expressed UMS's readiness to collaborate with BRIDGE.
The meetings concluded with the affirmation of Cairo's vital role in the BRIDGE global roadshow, acknowledging Egypt's influence in media, culture, and economy. The Cairo visit is part of the broader BRIDGE 2025 Roadshow, which includes stops in New York, London, Osaka, and Shanghai, all leading to the Summit in Abu Dhabi, envisioned as a platform for cultural diversity and global collaboration.
