Abu dhabi: The Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pipetec Solutions Manufacturing LLC. This significant partnership was announced during the inauguration of Pipetec’s new facility at KEZAD in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, along with representatives from government entities, industrial, and academic institutions.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU outlines a collaboration aimed at enhancing student development and workforce capability-building. This will be achieved through training and applied initiatives that allow students to gain direct, hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. The partnership will also provide specialised training and professional development opportunities tailored to meet industry needs. Key areas of focus include manufacturing-related capabilities, sustainability, smart manufacturing facilitated by digital technologies, virtual reality, digital twins in manufacturing, cybersecurity, and blockchain technology. Additionally, the agreement includes applied projects, internship opportunities, and collaboration in research, development, and innovation.
Mohammed Gheyath, CEO of CERT, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that CERT’s extensive experience in talent development will be instrumental in connecting applied training with real manufacturing needs. This collaboration is expected to support both student development and workforce capability-building, contributing to the UAE’s economic and industrial growth.
Heena Kalantri, Director of Pipetec Solutions Manufacturing, highlighted the importance of the MoU with CERT, emphasizing Pipetec’s commitment to developing future-ready talent and promoting manufacturing excellence in the UAE.
