China’s Bulk Commodity Index Records Sixth Consecutive Monthly Increase

Beijing: The index tracking the performance of China's bulk commodity market climbed for the sixth consecutive month in October, posting a wider gain than in September, according to industry data released on Wednesday.

According to Emirates News Agency, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) reported that the index reached 113.2 in October, representing a 1.2 percent increase from the previous month. This marks the sixth straight month of rising figures.

Out of the 50 major product types monitored by the federation, 16 experienced month-on-month price increases. Leading the gains were electrolytic copper, corrugated paper, and coking coal, which saw rises of 6.9 percent, 6 percent, and 6 percent, respectively, compared to September.
