Sharjah: The Sharjah Classic Cars Museum is participating in the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ramadan Championship - Al Wathba 2026, presenting a selection of its rare collections, amid strong public interest in the event. The museum's display features several vintage cars that illustrate the evolution of automobile manufacturing over different decades in the past century, highlighting key milestones in design and mechanical engineering history.
According to Emirates News Agency, among the vehicles on display is the 1930 Ford Model A Coupe, a vehicle that played a significant role in the widespread adoption of automobiles in the early 20th century due to its simplicity, marking an important shift in car design at the time. The exhibition also features the 1948 Riley RMS, a British car known for its distinctive design that combines luxury with balanced performance. This model was a favorite among classic car enthusiasts in Europe during its era.
Another highlight is the 1965 Porsche 912, a sports car celebrated for its balanced performance and sleek design, which represents a continuation of Porsche's success in creating vehicles that offer high performance alongside driving enjoyment. Ahmed Saif Bin Hanzal, Director of the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum, stated that the participation reflects the museum's efforts to emphasize the historical and cultural significance of classic cars, educate the public on their development, and provide an opportunity to view rare models that signify important stages in automotive history.
