Abu Dhabi:Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has been recognized in Newsweek's World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2027 rankings, securing the top position in the UAE across five medical specialties.
According to Emirates News Agency, the hospital ranked number one in the UAE for Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonology. These rankings, produced by Newsweek in collaboration with Statista, highlight leading hospitals across 13 medical fields, serving as an international benchmark for specialized care. This achievement follows Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's previous recognition in Newsweek's Best Specialized Hospitals Middle East 2026 rankings.
Dr. Georges-Pascal Haber, Chief Executive Officer of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, commented that being recognized among the world's best specialized hospitals for the first time marks an important milestone, reflecting the hospital's commitment to delivering exceptional care across Abu Dhabi, the UAE, and the wider region. The recognition in five specialties underscores the clinical expertise and the strength of their teams in providing complex care at high standards.
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is also featured in the global Oncology specialized rankings, demonstrating the ongoing development of comprehensive cancer care at its Fatima bint Mubarak Center. In total, 15 hospitals from the UAE are included in the 2027 global specialized rankings, indicating the country's growing clinical capability and international presence.
This recognition adds to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's record of clinical excellence, which is independently validated. Its clinical capabilities are acknowledged through four Department of Health - Abu Dhabi Centers of Excellence for adult cardiac surgery, stroke, adult multi-organ transplantation, and breast cancer, among other international distinctions such as the Joint Commission International Gold Seal of Approval, American College of Cardiology International Center of Excellence designation, and the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus award.
