Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and President of Kazakhstan Enhance Bilateral Ties Through Strategic Agreements

Astana: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, engaged in official talks with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, at the Presidential Palace. The discussions centered on strengthening the bilateral relations between the UAE and Kazakhstan, focusing on expanding cooperation across key sectors.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to enhance collaboration in strategic areas such as investment, energy, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies. H.H. Sheikh Khaled conveyed greetings from the UAE President and expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to the UAE delegation. The President of Kazakhstan reciprocated with his best wishes for the UAE's continued prosperity.

The two leaders reviewed existing relations and discussed further enhancing collaboration to unlock new opportunities that support sustainable development and mutual prosperity. They also witnessed the exchange of several cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in vital sectors.

In transport and infrastructure, an MoU was exchanged between the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport to foster cooperation in transportation and infrastructure development. In legal affairs, an MoU was signed to enhance legal cooperation, while in healthcare, an agreement was made to finance the construction of a maternity hospital in Turkestan.

In renewable energy, Masdar and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy agreed to develop a 1-gigawatt wind farm, and a further collaboration was established for a 'round the clock' energy project. AIQ and Samruk-Kazyna signed a cooperation agreement to boost Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector through advanced AI technologies.

Financially, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Samruk-Kazyna agreed to support strategic projects in alternative energy and infrastructure development. In aviation, a management agreement was signed to enhance aviation infrastructure and services.

Further, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between Presight AI and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development to advance the nation's digital infrastructure. In maritime logistics, AD Ports Group and Kazakhstan's National Maritime Shipping Company agreed to expand the fleet in the Caspian Sea to support maritime trade.

The meeting and signing ceremony were attended by members of the UAE delegation accompanying the Crown Prince, reinforcing the UAE's commitment to fostering strong bilateral ties and strategic partnerships with Kazakhstan.
