Abu dhabi: As part of its participation at GITEX Global 2025, being held from 13 to 17 October, the Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development (DCD) is set to showcase three new innovative social solutions aimed at enhancing the quality of life for citizens and residents. This initiative aligns with the Department's strategy to build a cohesive society through partnership and empowerment.
According to Emirates News Agency, the DCD's exhibit will be located at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion in Sheikh Saeed Hall. The department plans to demonstrate how its cutting-edge platforms will transform data collection and analysis into practical tools. These tools are designed to aid in the formulation of accurate social policies that can anticipate challenges and provide rapid responses.
A key highlight of the DCD's showcase will be the unveiling of the Community Well-Being Dashboard project. This AI-powered system utilizes quality of life indicators and data at the district level to identify and detect community risks and challenges earlier than existing legacy systems allow.
The DCD will also present the 'Family Support Insights' platform, another AI-driven initiative. This platform aims to identify families most in need of government assistance by integrating government data to map out and address the root causes of various social challenges.
Additionally, the DCD has announced plans to organize an interactive workshop during the exhibition. This workshop will explain the mechanisms for integrating data and artificial intelligence into the social sector. It will also feature presentations of projects developed by university students as part of the "UNIVATE" initiative, which encourages young adults to innovate digital solutions that support social development and improve quality of life.
DCD representatives emphasized that participating in GITEX, the world's largest technology event, offers an opportunity to enhance cooperation with other government and private entities, as well as academic and technical institutions. These discussions are expected to foster innovation, leading to initiatives that improve quality of life, enhance social cohesion, and align with the UAE leadership's vision of utilizing artificial intelligence for sustainable social development.
