Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) launched the fourth batch of the For Her programme in collaboration with Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), under the theme 'Women Create Tomorrow: A Vision that Transcends the Present'. The initiative is part of DEWA's ongoing efforts to develop the leadership and innovation skills of its female employees.
According to Emirates News Agency, over a nine-month period, 25 participants will engage in a series of interactive workshops and training courses led by HBMSU experts. These workshops will cover topics such as transformational leadership, effective communication, change management, emotional intelligence, and institutional innovation.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, emphasized the importance of supporting Emirati women's empowerment at all levels. DEWA collaborates with partners across various sectors and academic institutions to ensure fair opportunities for women to contribute to building a better future. The initiatives are designed to support the growth of inclusive societies and sustainable economies, aligning with the vision to achieve net zero by 2050.
Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU, highlighted the strategic partnership with DEWA, which aims to empower Emirati women as key drivers in institutional transformation. The programme is seen as a pioneering national model for developing women's competencies and equipping them with necessary leadership and innovative skills. HBMSU's mission is to promote lifelong learning and smart leadership, preparing female leaders for impactful roles in vital sectors.
