DEWA Announced as Strategic Sustainability Partner of Arab Media Summit 2025

Dubai: The Dubai Press Club (DPC), organiser of the Arab Media Summit (AMS) 2025, today announced that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is the Strategic Sustainability Partner of the event. Organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Middle East's largest media thought leadership platform will be held from 26-28 May.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Summit serves as the umbrella for key events and initiatives organised by the Dubai Press Club focused on knowledge exchange and dialogue in the media industry, including the Arab Media Forum (AMF), the Arab Youth Media Forum (AYMF), and the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit (ASMIS). The media event, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will draw prominent political figures, writers, thought leaders, opinion-makers, renowned media personalities and senior executives of leading Arab and international media organisations. The Summit will also feature the participation of inspiring Arab personalities in various fields, successful young content creators and digital storytellers and global media industry leaders.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, stated that their participation in the Arab Media Summit as Strategic Sustainability Partner aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, who emphasizes the role of media in fostering creativity and promoting a positive outlook. Al Tayer highlighted that Dubai is not just a host city for leading media institutions but also a global hub for innovation. He stressed the media's role in advancing sustainable development, showcasing economic and social milestones, and raising awareness of environmental and developmental issues.

Al Tayer further noted that the Arab Media Summit is a platform for exploring the evolving media landscape and identifying future industry trends. It provides young media professionals with opportunities to present their ideas and innovations, contributing to the advancement of Arab media. Through DEWA's participation, there is an aim to strengthen partnerships with media entities at various levels and promote sustainability, energy transition, climate action, and a green economy.

Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and President of the Dubai Press Club, expressed her appreciation to Al Tayer and DEWA for their support. She emphasized DEWA as a leading example of how institutions recognize the strategic role of media in supporting sustainable development goals. Al Marri highlighted that the partnership with DEWA reinforces the Summit's role as a significant platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange.

Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, mentioned that the partnership with DEWA adds real value to the Summit, particularly in highlighting the media's role in shaping the future of societies. She noted that sustainability is central to development agendas worldwide and that Dubai leads through DEWA's projects in clean energy and environmental responsibility.

The Arab Media Summit 2025 will also feature award ceremonies to honour the winners of the Arab Media Award, the Arab Social Media Influencers Award, and the Ibda'a - Arab Youth Media Award.
