Abu dhabi: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has extended an invitation to media professionals and participants of the Arab Media Summit (AMS) 2026 to explore its initiatives in sustainability, clean energy, innovation, and digital transformation. DEWA aims to highlight its role in using corporate communications and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance community awareness and support sustainable development.
According to Emirates News Agency, DEWA is participating in the summit as the Strategic Sustainability Partner. The summit, organized by the Dubai Press Club, will be held from 15th to 17th September 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. DEWA's participation underscores its belief in the media's crucial role in fostering sustainable development and public awareness of environmental preservation, clean energy, and climate action. The summit offers a platform for DEWA to showcase its efforts in using AI and advanced digital technologies to boost operational efficiency and customer experience, supporting the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050 and enhancing Dubai's global reputation in sustainability and innovation.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, emphasized the importance of the summit in promoting dialogue and collaboration with media entities and content creators to communicate sustainability matters effectively to the public. On the summit's second day, Khawla Al Mehairi, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Government Communications at DEWA, will join a panel discussion titled 'Government Communication in the Era of Sustainability'. She will be joined by Dr. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director-General of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, to discuss the role of corporate and strategic communications in building trust and embedding sustainability within organizational culture.
