Dubai: Dubai Financial Market has announced the agenda and speaker line-up for the 3rd MENA Capital Market Summit, scheduled for 6-7 May at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. The 2025 edition will examine key shifts in global and regional capital markets, including fintech innovation, IPO activity, cross-border flows, the rise of retail investors, and private market transformation.
According to Emirates News Agency, over 100 senior leaders will speak at the event, including Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of DFM; Ken Robins of Citi; Richard Cormack of Goldman Sachs; Simon Williams of HSBC; and Lord Stephen A. Carter of Informa. The summit expects to attract over 1,500 participants and 200 industry partners.
The agenda is set to feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and sector-focused sessions. A new element this year, The Hub, will provide interactive engagement, platform demos, and insights from DFM and its partners on services driving capital market growth.
Platinum sponsors Bank of America, Citi, Emirates NBD, and HSBC will also be participating. Their executives will address topics including regulatory reform, investor trends, and capital market innovation. Bank of America highlighted the region's deepening capital access and regulatory maturity, while Citi underlined Dubai's role in global transactions and investment opportunities. Emirates NBD pointed to digital innovation and regional financial integration, and HSBC reported its involvement in 65 percent of the approximately US$26.2 billion raised in UAE IPOs from 2022-2025.
Hamed Ali, CEO of DFM and Nasdaq Dubai, emphasized that the summit underscores Dubai's role as a financial gateway. In 2024, AED10.48 billion was raised through IPOs, engaging 1.2 million investors from over 200 nationalities. He remarked, 'The summit arrives at a pivotal time to discuss innovation, cross-border collaboration, and regulatory change, offering key insights to guide the future of capital markets.'
